I'm Luca Mussari, a digital nomad & indie maker.
I started my journey trying to crack the code of search algorithms in London as a search engine optimization (SEO) specialist, but my career has always been guided by curiosity and a passion for exploration.
Over the years, I've pivoted across industries, from emerging startups and global media agencies like Mindshare to established British giants like Virgin Media (now Virgin Media O2) and Marks and Spencer. Each of these experiences constantly enriched my perspective but still left me with a feeling of unexpressed potential.
So, driven by the desire to break free from the corporate city life, I embraced the digital nomad lifestyle and set out to travel the world while working remotely.
This new chapter in my life inspired me to co-create Freaking Nomads, an online media publication and community that strips away the filters to reveal the raw, authentic life of digital nomads and remote workers.
A couple of years later, I co-founded Remote Nomad Jobs still inspired by this new lifestyle.
Lately, you can find me vibe-coding new digital products as an indie maker after building and launching a dedicated platform for our community at Freaking Nomads, where digital nomads can discover events, find workspaces, and connect with like-minded digital nomads.
Most recently, I've created Illustro, an AI-powered illustration generator that transforms text descriptions into beautiful illustrations in seconds. It's my latest venture into the creative AI space, designed to help creators bring their ideas to life without needing design skills.
My journey so far has taught me to embrace my identity as a generalist, thrive on flexibility and adaptability, and enjoy this newly-found excitement of exploring new challenges. Every pivot has been an incredible opportunity to learn, innovate, and grow, so I can't wait to see what's next in my career.
